A portion of Highway 100 northbound was closed for several hours Saturday after a fatal crash, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

A crash report from the Minnesota State Patrol states that a Ford Econoline was exiting from Highway 100 toward Humboldt Avenue when it lost control and rolled down the embankment and back onto the highway.

The crash closed northbound Highway 100 between 57th Avenue North and Interstate 94 near Brooklyn Center.

Information about the 30-year-old male driver will be released soon.

Several law enforcement vehicles were on the scene shortly before the 10 o'clock hour. MnDOT traffic cameras show multiple vehicles involved.

At 9:37 p.m., MnDOT reported that the road was closed at Brooklyn Boulevard and would remain so for several hours.
