A group of more than two dozen coworkers in Coon Rapids on Tuesday claimed a $1 million lottery prize.

The Minnesota Lottery said 28 people, who called their lottery pool "Team APG," claimed the Powerball prize Tuesday afternoon.

"If we had one more number, our group name would be 'Retired,'" one member quipped.

"I had $1 million sitting on my desk since Saturday!" said Dustin Uran of Minneapolis, who purchased the ticket.

Uran said he didn't know the ticket was a big winner until he scanned it Monday morning at a lottery retailer.

"I scanned it and it said, 'Winner. Contact lottery office,'" he said. "So, I scanned it again and I thought, 'That's different.' I knew it must be $50,000 or $1 million—or a glitch."

Uran said after returning to the office, he looked up Saturday's winning numbers on the state lottery website and saw one of their tickets had won $1 million.

He then emailed his coworkers, "Apparently nobody checks the tickets I send. Check the tickets."

"I always email copies of the tickets before the drawing for transparency," he explained.

With the Powerball jackpot now at $394 million, Team APG might have a few more coworkers looking to join their pool.
