Couple killed in Highway 55 crash described as helpful and caring

New details have emerged about a couple killed in a crash last week in Rosemount. 

State Patrol says a semi was stopped on Highway 55 waiting to turn, when two vehicles behind it were rear-ended by a dump truck.

William and Colette Craig of South St. Paul were killed and three others were hurt.

Neighbors say William and Colette were helpful and caring. 

"It's shocking," neighbor Carol Vasatka said. "It makes you realize you should appreciate everyday and do the things you want to do."

The two leave behind their two children who are in college. 

William and Colette were also both members of the Minnesota Wing Civil Air Patrol. 

The driver of the dump truck and the driver of another vehicle hit were not seriously hurt. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
