The last three months have been full of ups and downs for the community of Barron, Wisconsin.

But many who live and work there say the disappearance of Jayme Closs and bringing her back home has brought them closer together.

"Everybody has been praying for her and I think no matter where you go it's always a little chatter," said Jim Helman, who works at Tru Value.

Businesses, churches and other organizations can't help but show their support with a few words outside their buildings.

"The community has been fantastic, and I want Jayme to know that we support her any way possible," said Kari Seelig, with Barron Hometown Pharmacy.

On Saturday, the Facebook group Healing for Jayme Closs posted an update announcing their fundraiser reached $50,000 in just one day. The organizer tells 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS it's to help Jayme recover and maybe help with college tuition.

"Everybody I think deep down are so concerned about her welfare," Helman said.

As for the hero herself, Jayme is doing well, and her Aunt Jennifer posted photos on Saturday saying she is so happy to have her home.

For those that didn't even know Jayme, they're even relieved to welcome her home.

"Crazy up and down thoughts," Helman said.

"It has been unreal for the community, we've went from extreme fear for both Jayme and her family and for everyone in the community to now just elation. We are just thrilled that she is back," Seelig said.

Business owners tell 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS encouragement in the form of signs will likely stay up for some time to spread the good news.

"We want her to feel comfortable and then after a while, she probably won't want the attention so it'll probably come down but it'll be up for a while because we're thrilled," Seelig said.

This is a story that has touched many across the country. If you'd like to send a card or well wishes to Jayme, a group set up a PO Box for the public. Send attention to Light the Way Home For Jayme Closs PO Box 539 Rice Lake, WI 54868.
