A giant traveling nightlife experience that had planned to set up shop at Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake during Super Bowl week has been canceled, a release announced Friday.

Shows that had been scheduled, however, will go on despite the decision to cancel Club NOMADIC.

A performance by The Chainsmokers on Feb. 1 and one by Kygo scheduled for Feb. 2 will move inside to the Mystic Lake Center. The Florida Georgia Line performance scheduled for Feb. 3 will move to the Mystic Showroom.

And the Gwen Stefani performance scheduled for Feb. 4 will also move to the Mystic Lake Center.

The release said more information about those performances, and one by Ellie Goulding that was scheduled for Feb. 2, will be forthcoming.

"We are disappointed to have to make the decision to cancel Club NOMADIC at Mystic Lake," said Angela Heikes, on behalf of Dakota February Events, in a statement contained in the release. "Unfortunately, as the event approached, we determined that it would be impossible to (insure) an event that is up to our standards of quality."

Club Nomadic was billed as "the world-famous traveling nightlife experience that served as the epicenter of entertainment last year in Houston."

It was to feature a giant temporary entertainment venue, expecting 9,000 guests each night over the long Super Bowl weekend.

According to the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, those hired to work at Club NOMADIC are being encouraged to apply for other open jobs at Mystic Lake or in the SMSC Community.
