City of Lakes Loppet festival kicks off despite cold temps

Skiers will brave and embrace the cold Thursday for the start of the annual City of Lakes Loppet Festival.

The Classic Ski Team sprints are at 6 p.m. in Theodore Wirth Park. Organizers with the Loppet Foundation say only one event had to be postponed due to the cold temperatures.
