The Children's Theatre Company announced Wednesday settlements of lawsuits brought against it by six people who were sexually abused by a former artistic director and two former employees. The terms of the settlements weren't released. The Theatre Company said the legal process for other plaintiffs remains ongoing.

As they work toward resolutions on those lawsuits, the Theatre Company said it is working on a "significant list" of items to implement now and in the future. Those include:

  • Training and education
  • A community council
  • An open forum
  • A three-part speakers series

Children's Theatre Company announces it won't seek legal fees from abuse victim

CTC also apologized to the victims. Earlier this month, CTC published a statement concurrently with other Twin Cities performing arts leaders talking about its commitment to combat and redress sexual assault and child abuse.
