The female companion of a caveman sculpture that mysteriously appeared in a Minneapolis park last month has now been found in St. Paul.
Zara, a clay cavewoman encased in fake ice, was spotted in Crosbyfarm Park. She was created as a companion to Zug Zug, who captured the attention of those passing through Theodore Wirth Park.
Ian Molloy-Busse, one of the sculptors involved in the project, said he wanted Minnesotans to get outdoors and find her.
"Our goal of this piece was to ... both draw people out into the natural world so they could enjoy nature's beauty as well as to communicate a moving image ... a still life frozen in time of a woman in the prime of her power," Molloy-Busse said.
