An investigation is underway at an Anoka gas station after a fire broke out early Monday morning.

According to authorities, the fire started on the roof of a Shell gas station at Seventh Avenue and Polk Street at about 2 a.m.

The fire department said the roof of the car wash suffered significant damage in the blaze and will need to be replaced. The gas station, though, was able to reopen normally Monday.

Officials said no one was hurt as a result of the fire. The matter remains under investigation, but the fire department said it appears to have been accidental.
