Car fatally strikes Baltimore man who got out of car on Highway 169 in Bloomington

A Baltimore man died after he got out of his car and was struck Saturday afternoon in Bloomington.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, just after 4 p.m., the driver of a Ford Focus stopped in the right lane of northbound Highway 169 just north of Anderson Lakes Parkway and got out of his car. He was then hit by a Toyota RAV4 and died from his injuries.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the man as 21-year-old Mapach Ochalla Odolla of Baltimore.

The crash report states an 18-year-old woman was also in the Ford but was not injured. The driver of the Toyota, a 36-year-old man from Bloomington, wasn’t injured, either.
