Robbinsdale, Brooklyn Park and Elk River have all declared snow emergencies as 3-6 inches of snowfall head toward the Twin Cities.
Robbinsdale parking restrictions will take effect at 10 p.m. on Saturday and no on-street parking will remain in effect until roads are plowed curb to curb. Vehicles not removed are subject to the issuance of a citation and impoundment.
Brooklyn Park also issued a snow emergency that goes into effect Saturday at 11:59 p.m.
The city said there will be no on-street parking until the street has been plowed curb to curb. Vehicles that remain on the street after 11:59 p.m. may be ticketed and towed. The city also states that after the street has been plowed there is no on-street parking from 2 to 5 a.m.

In Elk River, nightly parking restrictions will be in effect from 2-6 a.m. Sunday and will remain in effect until the city lifts the snow emergency.
