The United States Attorney's Office in Minnesota announced Wednesday that a Brooklyn Center man has been sentenced to a total of 92 months in prison after pleading guilty in May to one count of conspiracy to defraud and one count of aggravated identity theft.

A release said Ellis Alance Banks, 53, was sentenced to 92 months in prison, three years of supervised release and was ordered to pay $1,001,999.49 in restitution.
