Police are responding to a 'suspicious death' scene in Minneapolis Saturday.

According to Minneapolis police spokesperson John Elder, the death occurred from an altercation in an apartment building located on the 1900 block of Park Avenue South shortly after 3 p.m.

Police responded to a report of a medical, possible heart, issue. Upon arrival, officers found paramedics performing CPR on an adult male. Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful and the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

Elder said there was another man at the scene who was transported to the hospital. That man is a person of interest in the death of the other man at the scene. Both the decedent and other man showed signs of physical injury.

Detectives from the Minneapolis Police Department's Homicide Unit canvassed the scene speaking with numerous people who may have heard or seen something. The Minneapolis Police Department Crime Lab personnel processed the scene collecting items of evidence for processing.

The identity of the deceased, along with the nature and cause of death, will be provided by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office.
