A 19-year old is in the hospital after being found with a gunshot wound to the head Monday afternoon in Waite Park.

Waite Park police said officers responded to 232 13th Avenue N. at about 1:04 p.m. on a gunshot complaint.

According to police, officers found the man with a bullet wound to his head. He was transported to a hospital.

The department said the victim, from St. Cloud, was in surgery Monday night and is in critical condition.

Police said two juvenile males have been detained and officers are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Police later said a 16-year-old Waite Park boy will be held in a juvenile detention facility pending charges including negligent discharge of a firearm, minor in possession of a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm.
