Boy dies after dirt bike collision with truck in Andover

UPDATE: The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 17-year-old Bryce Greggory Peterson.

A boy has died after colliding head-on with a pickup truck while he was on a dirt bike in Andover on Saturday.


According to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, emergency personnel responded to a reported crash at 3:36 p.m. in the 2700 block of 172nd Avenue Northwest. When crews arrived, they found a juvenile male unconscious and critically injured. Paramedics performed lifesaving measures before the boy was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center. The driver of the truck was unharmed.
