The body of a kayaker who was reported missing over the weekend in a New Brighton lake has been found.

According to the New Brighton Department of Public Safety, the body of the missing kayaker was recovered from Long Lake by the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office Water Patrol Tuesday afternoon.

The kayaker was reported to have fallen in the water on the east side of Long Lake Saturday and did not resurface. According to the New Brighton DPS, the victim was not wearing a life jacket.

The victim's identity has not yet been released.
