The Pine County Sheriff's Department reports a missing hunter was found dead Friday morning in a pond in the Rock Creek area.

A release said 38-year-old Matthew Neshek of Pine City was reported missing on Thursday. He had gone duck hunting in the area of Nature Avenue, south of Highway 70.

Crews searched the area until dark Thursday night and resumed their search Friday morning. At around 9:30 a.m., Neshek's body was discovered about 50 yards from shore in a pond east of Nature Avenue.

The release said no foul play is suspected.
