Body of Man Recovered From Medicine Lake

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Department reports the body of an adult male was recovered from Medicine Lake Saturday morning.

A release states Hennepin County deputies, the Plymouth Police and Fire Departments and Medicine Lake firefighters responded to a 911 call reporting a possible body in the lake near the east shoreline at around 10:05 a.m.


Upon arriving on the scene, the body of the adult male was recovered. At this point, the release states, no foul play is suspected.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office will determine an identification and the official cause of death.

KSTP's Brett Hoffland reports the nearby trail was expected to re-open to bikers and walkers by early afternoon.
