Sheriff's office: Body recovered in St. Croix River

A body was found in the St. Croix River Friday afternoon.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office reports a body was recovered around 12:55 p.m. as authorities responded to the area of the 9300 block of St. Croix Trail North in Stillwater Township.

The body is believed to be a man's, according to police.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating. No further information will be released until identification is confirmed at a later time.
