An auto repair shop in Big Lake is offering to fix vehicles affected by the nails and screws found on Sherburne County roads for free.

An employee of Sand Dunes Auto Service told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS they are offering free repairs after nails and screws had been found on roads in Big Lake, Zimmerman, Orrack and rural Sherburne County. The employee said there are a few restrictions on repairs, but not many.

Police working to identify person putting nails, screws on roads in Sherburne County

The Sherburne County Sheriff's Office said Jeffrey Scot Caouette, 63, was arrested in connection with the case after a caller reported seeing a vehicle near Zimmerman Terrace Park Monday morning that matched the description of a vehicle police had identified as being involved in numerous incidents. Caouette is in jail and awaiting formal charges.
