Authorities have identified the bicyclist who was killed in a crash involving a Northstar train Thursday last week.

According to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, 48-year-old Daniel John Corr, Sr., of Minneapolis, died in the crash.

Corr was found and pronounced dead at about 4:30 p.m. at a Northstar Metro Transit station. Police were able to locate the crash site in Fridley, south of Osborne Road NE.

Authorities discovered Corr had been struck by a northbound Northstar commuter train.

The incident remains under investigation, according to the sheriff's office. The Coon Rapids and Fridley police departments as well as the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office and the Anoka County Sheriff's Office are assisting with the investigation.
