Police: Vehicle Windows Shot Out, Homes Vandalized, Burglarized in Washington, St. Croix Counties

Authorities are warning residents about a string of recent vandalism and home invasions in Washington County and across the river in St. Croix County in Wisconsin.

A Facebook post from the city of Stillwater stated the city's police department received 38 reports of property damage to vehicles throughout the city over the weekend, and 45 vehicles total. The vehicles appeared to have been shot at by a BB gun.

Washington County listed one report from Lake Elmo of one vehicle damaged, and Lakeland had a report of two cars damaged.

The post stated there were reports of similar incidents in Oak Park Heights, Hudson, West Lakeland and St. Mary's Point over the weekend as well.

Anyone with more information is asked to call the police department at 651-351-4900.

Meanwhile, a Facebook post from Hudson, Wisconsin, police said people have been entering homes and stealing vehicles, wallets and other valuables.

The post said residents have been both at home and away during the incidents.

The post also said some homes in the area around Hudson have been hit by multiple persons.

The department asks anyone who sees anything suspicious to call 911.
