Authorities investigate early-morning shooting in St. Paul

St. Paul police are investigating what led up to an early-morning shooting Tuesday.

According to police, one person was taken to Regions Hospital after shots were fired at a BP gas station near Hamline and University avenues. Officers responded to the report of shots fired at about 4:15 a.m.


Police said the adult male victim had suffered an apparent gunshot wound that was considered life threatening.

According to a KSTP crew at the scene, police had put up crime tape around the gas station and were continuing to investigate.
