Cass County authorities are investigating an apparent drowning at a lake in Wabedo Township.

At about 3:25 p.m. Tuesday, the Cass County Sheriff's Office stated officers received a report of a possible drowning on Louise Lake.

Upon arrival, officers found a man in the water near a fishing boat. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and has not yet been identified.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office is expected to conduct an autopsy. The incident remains under investigation.

The incident marked the second apparent drowning in Cass County this week. Earlier this week, a woman was pronounced dead in an apparent drowning at Leech Lake.
