Animals at Minnesota Zoo enjoying snow ahead of holiday season

Animals at the Minnesota Zoo were seen enjoying the fresh snowfall.


The Minnesota Zoo also announced on Wednesday the start of their special weekend holiday events kick off this weekend.

The event starts on Friday, Nov. 29.

According to the news release, the event will take place on each Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 22. It's the perfect opportunity to spend time with your family, all while connecting with animals, nature, and the magic of the season, according to the zoo.

On Friday and Saturday, Santa and reindeer will be out from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be additional appearances from Santa, reindeer, carolers and more throughout the weekends until December.

The zoo also has upcoming holiday-themed Adult Night Out and other family events listed on its website.

The zoo will be closed on Thursday for Thanksgiving but will resume regular hours on Friday.
