The Brooklyn Park Police Department is looking for two people who broke into Angelea's Soul Food Kitchen on Saturday morning.

According to a Facebook post, surveillance footage shows two people wearing hoodies smashing a window and entering the restaurant just before 7 a.m. They took an undisclosed amount from the store.

"While this is unfortunate, we are not unfamiliar with adversity," the post stated. "Our mother taught us the power of love and resilience in the face of challenge. In her honor we will continue to serve you the beautiful and delicious soul food you all have loved and enjoyed while we figure out next steps in this situation."

The restaurant opened at 1 p.m. instead of noon on Saturday to make repairs.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to notify the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
