An assault, abduction

According to the BCA, at roughly 6:34 a.m. Friday, a suspect identified as Lo was involved in a domestic assault with the mother of his children in Cottage Grove and left the scene in a 2004 Toyota Sienna with a Minnesota license plate of 708-XEM.

Authorities alleged Lo had been hiding in the rear portion of the minivan, and the woman and the two children were unaware of his presence.

He then surprised them and began assaulting the woman. They said she was able to stop the van and a passer-by came to her aid and called 911.
