UPDATE: As of 3:55 p.m. all animals have been adopted.

Minneapolis Animal Care and Control will be waiving adoption fees this Friday, Nov. 22, for all animals.

According to Minneapolis Animal Care and Control, they want to help get all adoptable animals into homes before the holiday. Therefore, they are hosting a Clear the Shelter day.

The waived adoption fees will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday. Residents must purchase a city pet license

Adoptions are first-come, first-serve. If multiple applicants at the shelter want the same animal, there will be a drawing.

When adopting the animals, cats must leave in a carrier, and dogs must leave on a leash.

Check out the Minneapolis Animal Care and Control website for more information about the adoption details and preparation.
