Police are investigating a homicide that left one person dead, another critically injured and was live streamed on social media.
A passenger in the backseat of a Nissan Altima took out his cellphone to share what he and two friends were up to in real-time with friends on Facebook. It includes the moments before, during and after someone opened fire at their car.
It happened at a busy intersection near downtown Minneapolis.
Minneapolis Police responded to the 7th Street overpass over I-94, near 7th Street and Lyndale Avenue, at about 2:10 p.m. Sunday. Spokesperson John Elder said when officers arrived, they found two adult men who had been shot.
Police on scene said one of the men, the driver, was dead. Relatives identified him as 21-year-old Denzyl Jackson. A second man, identified as Timothy Callender, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with critical injuries.
The department said in a news release that preliminary information tells them two vehicles were involved in the incident, and one of those had fled before officers arrived on scene. Investigators are reviewing footage from traffic management camera's in the area to see if the incident and suspect vehicle can be seen.

The area was closed for more than three hours but has since reopened.
