Authorities in Wisconsin report a 49-year-old man was killed early Wednesday when his vehicle appeared to crash into a tree in a ditch in St. Croix County.
The St. Croix County Sheriff's Department reports a 911 call was received around 1:40 a.m., stating a vehicle had appeared to crash into a tree in the north ditch on County Road H just west of County Road T in Stanton Township.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they located a 2011 GMC Denali pickup with severe damage to the front.
The man in the driver's seat - identified as Mark D. Scribner of Deer Park - was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to a release.
