Three members of the 2019 list of inductees into the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame are scheduled to be honored in an induction ceremony Saturday on the main seminar stage at the Progressive Insurance Northwest Sportshow being held at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

The 2019 class of inductees into the Hayward, Wisconsin-based hall of fame includes 11 individuals in all.

Those being honored Saturday are Ray Dupuis of Ontario, who is described in a release as being a major force in legislation that required Ontario Hydro to protect spawning beds, and Chip Leer and Matt Straw of Minnesota.

Leer is described as a "tireless promoter, innovator and communicator with a profound passion for fishing, hunting and the great outdoors. Straw has been an outdoor writer since 1980 and is currently a field editor for In-Fisherman Magazine.

The sportshow got underway Thursday and runs through Sunday at the Convention Center.
