A Minneapolis man has been charged with operating a motor vehicle with two children in the vehicle under the age of 16.

According to a release from the Wisconsin State Patrol, State Patrol troopers responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 94 near milepost 75. Upon arrival, troopers noted a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle that had been driven by 27-year-old Leonardo Gonzalez Gasper of Minneapolis. 


Gonzalez Gasper and all three passengers in the vehicle, including a five and eight year old, were transported to Mayo Eau Claire to be treated for injuries. 

Standardized field sobriety tests were given to Gonzalez Gasper who was subsequently placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence with children present. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, operating without a valid drivers license and operating without insurance.
