Two children were airlifted to the hospital after a crash in southern Minnesota Friday afternoon.
The Steele County Sheriff's Office said a 2-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl were taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
According to the sheriff's office, a pickup truck driven by a 52-year-old man collided with an SUV driven by a 31-year-old woman at the intersection of Southeast 38th Street and Southeast 64th Avenue around 2:10 p.m.
The man was hospitalized. His condition is also unknown.
The woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The two children were in the SUV, according to the sheriff's office, and seat belts and child safety seats were used. The sheriff's office said drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
