Two men have been charged in the largest heroin seizure in the history of the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and the Duluth Police Department.

Hubbard Broadcasting-owned WDIO-TV reports the arrests were made on Thursday and announced Monday, and cone after a two-month long investigation.

"During the search, investigators recovered approximately 4.3 pounds of heroin, a half-pound of cocaine, a loaded firearm, and $94,623 in U.S. currency," task force commander Jeff Kazel said. "The heroin has an estimated street value of $350,000."

Otis Jason Weaver, 39, and Eric Antione Black, 36, were arrested during the investigation.

Weaver is charged with first-degree aggravated sale of a controlled substance and Black is charged with first-degree aiding and abetting aggravated sale of a controlled substance.

Black was out on bail for a first-degree murder charge out of Chicago, Kazel said, and investigators are working with the Chicago Police Department to revoke the bail.
