Two people have been arrested, both in different states, and charged in connection to the death of a St. Paul firefighter.

St. Paul Police said Tuesday that Blake Caraway, 36, was arrested in Pompano Beach, Florida, and Dontay Caraway, 39, was arrested in Spencer, Oklahoma.

The two were arrested Friday in connection to the death of Thomas Harrigan on Sept. 2, police said.

Both have been charged with two counts of second-degree murder, according to court records.

According to the criminal complaints, witnesses told police that Dontay Caraway entered the home that Harrigan was at on the evening of Sept. 2 and began arguing with Harrigan. Witnesses told police that as the fight escalated, the unknown man pulled out a firearm and shot Harrigan.

A witness later identified Blake Caraway as the shooter during a photo line-up.

Harrigan, 36, was laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with full honors on Thursday. He was found shot to death in his home on Labor Day.
