The crash report states that a Dodge Ram pickup was headed eastbound on Main Street and was seen skidding sideways before hitting and crossing the median and striking a westbound Toyota Camry head-on. Two other vehicles traveling westbound were also hit as a result of the initial impact.

The driver of the pickup has been identified as Pedro Ricardo Flores, 54, of Blaine. He is in custody on probable cause of third-degree DUI and third-degree criminal vehicular operation. No formal charges have been filed.

The sheriff's office said two child passengers, a boy and a girl, were in the Camry and were transferred to Children's Hospital for treatment. Guatam Pujari, 2, of Lino Lakes, is in critical condition, and Sinchana Pujari, 5, of Lino Lakes, sustained serious injuries. A 37-year-old woman, Mamanta Patil Bovi, was being treated for serious injuries but was in stable condition.

The driver of the Camry, Suresh Shrimant Pujari, 37, of Lino Lakes, was taken to Mercy Hospital with minor injuries. He was treated and later released, according to the report.

The drivers of the two other vehicles were not injured. One of them, Mitch Keenan Heidmann, 29, of Champlin, performed CPR on the 2-year-old boy until emergency crews arrived.

Kevin Dario Cobos Diaz, 35, of Andover, was the fourth driver in the crash.
