An 18-year-old St. Paul man was killed and two others were injured following a crash that occurred Monday morning near Hayward, Wisconsin.

A release from the Wisconsin State Patrol said Henry Evans Zietlow was killed when the 2014 Subaru Forester he was driving north on Highway 63 struck a 2004 Ram 1500 pickup that had been traveling south before that driver lost control and crossed into the northbound lane.

The Ram had been pulling a car trailer with a car on board.

The driver of the Ram, 23-year-old Andrew Robert Ninke, suffered life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the Subaru, 51-year-old Sarah Marie Risser of St. Paul, was also injured. Her injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

The release said road conditions at the time may have been the cause of the crash. The matter remains under investigation.
