The Chisago County Sheriff's Office reports a eight-year-old is seriously injured after falling approximately 50 feet from a rock area inaccessible by foot due to cliffs in Taylors Falls.

According to the press release, the fall happened around 2:03 p.m. Thursday at Interstate Park.

Rescue crews picked the child up by watercraft and transported the child to the hospital. 

Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Shane Carroll at 651-257-4100.
