One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a crash in Barron County, Wisconsin, Thursday night.

The Barron County Sheriff's Office said deputies were notified of a two-vehicle crash on County Road B at 18th Street, north of Rice Lake, at about 6:36 p.m.

Initial investigation showed 48-year-old Thomas Lamm, of Boyceville, was traveling south on 18th Street and failed to stop at 18th Street and Highway B. His truck collided with a truck traveling west on Highway B, the sheriff's office said.

The driver of that truck, identified as Corey Carlson, 47, of Rice Lake, was extricated from the truck and airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries. Lamm was pronounced dead at the scene.

Highway B was closed for about 3 hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
