One of the two men charged in connection to the death of Forada firefighter Steven William Hlinsky following an incident at a bar last May pleaded not guilty to three counts of manslaughter Thursday in Douglas County.
Court records show Troy Nathan Traut is charged with one count of first-degree manslaughter and two counts of fifth-degree manslaughter.
A settlement conference is scheduled for March 7.
Hlinsky, 46, died from injuries he sustained in an assault at the Muddy Foot Bar in Forada.
Authorities said he suffered a detached retina, bleeding on the inside and outside of his brain, a fractured orbital socket, a broken nose, a temple fracture and a skull fracture near his forehead area.
