One of the two men charged in Sunday's mass shooting at a St. Paul bar appeared in court for the first time on Tuesday.

Devondre Phillips, 29, of Las Vegas, remains in the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound but will be taken to jail when he's released from the hospital. He's charged with 12 counts of attempted second-degree murder.

The other man charged, 33-year-old Terry Brown, of St. Paul, is expected to make his first court appearance on Wednesday. He's charged with one count of second-degree murder and 11 counts of attempted second-degree murder.

They're each being held on $10 million bail.

Phillips had his next court appearance set for Nov. 9.
