1 killed in St. Louis Park crash involving scooter

The driver of a scooter was killed after a crash in St. Louis Park Wednesday morning, according to a city official. 

The official said first responders were called to the intersection of 28th Street West and Quentin Avenue South in response to a report of a crash involving a scooter.


Responders provided aid to the driver of the scooter, a St. Louis Park man, before he was taken to an area hospital by ambulance. 

The city official said the man later died from injuries suffered during the crash. 

The driver of the vehicle cooperated with the investigation and was released pending further investigation. 

There is no indication that drugs or alcohol were a factor.
