One person was killed Friday after a shooting in Crystal, according to authorities. 

A news release from the Crystal Police Department said officers were called around 7:45 p.m. to the 3000 block of Sumter Avenue on the report of someone laying on the ground in a parking lot. 


When officers arrived, they located a 20-year-old man who suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. 

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say this incident was not a random act and it is being looked at as a homicide investigation.
