Only one contractor remains in the running to construct the Southwest Light Rail project.
The Metropolitan Council said Lundah-McCrossan bid $799 million to build the 14.5-mile line from downtown Minneapolis to Eden Prairie. Another company in the running dropped out.
The council plans to make a final decision by mid-November. Officials still hope to have the project completed by 2023.
