Survey teams with the National Weather Service have confirmed two tornadoes so far, the organization said Friday evening.

The confirmed tornadoes were in northeast Burnsville, near Highway 13 and Cliff Road, and in Apple Valley, near Cedar Avenue and 145th Street. No EF rating has been given to the tornadoes at this time.

The NWS Twin Cities said its survey teams will continue to investigate areas of storm damage in Lakeville, Savage and Henderson.

Strong storms moved through the south metro and western Wisconsin early Friday morning, causing damage and leaving thousands without power.
