A tornado warning for northeastern Norman and southeastern Polk counties is in effect until 9:15 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado and golf ball-sized hail was located 44 miles northeast of Fargo, North Dakota, at 8:36 p.m.


A tornado warning for Pennington County, Minnesota, is in effect until 8:30 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, a thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Hazel, Minnesota, headed east at 7:46 p.m. Lime-sized hail is also possible.

According to the NWS, a severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect for most of northwestern Minnesota until 2 a.m. Friday.
