A mix of sun and clouds with spotty thunderstorms is likely to continue into Wednesday night.

Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas said some of the possible storms could be severe, with chances for heavy rain, hail and damaging winds.

The high Wednesday is expected to be 88 degrees, Yuhas said.

Looking ahead, Yuhas said weather will remain hot and humid through the Fourth of July weekend and beyond, with thunderstorms at times and temperatures between 89 and 94 degrees during the day.

Heat index values this week will reach 100 degrees at times, which will continue into next week, Yuhas said.
