Wild trades 2018 pick McBain to Arizona for 2nd-rounder

Ahead of the NHL trade deadline on Monday afternoon, the Minnesota Wild agreed to a swap with Arizona.

The team announced it sent the rights to Boston College center Jack McBain to the Arizona Coyotes for a second-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.

McBain was drafted by the Wild at No. 63 overall in the 2018 NHL Draft. He’s remained in college since then, breaking out this season by setting career highs in goals, points, shots, power play goals and game-winning goals. He also represented Team Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
