Wild set to start the playoffs against Vegas on Sunday

Minnesota Wild head coach Dean Evason and center Nick Bjugstad met with the media, via Zoom, following morning practice at Xcel Energy Center.

Evason spoke about having an off day before game 1 against the Vegas Golden Knights, the health of the team, the lineups expected, Zach Parise being scratched, Cam Talbot being in the net, the excitement level of the team, Nick Bonino and Ian Cole leadership, the regular-season success against Vegas, how he is feeling going into these playoffs compared to last year’s bubble playoffs, and Nick Bjugstad’s impact on the team.

Bjugstad discussed playing in his first playoff game with the Wild, the regular-season success against the Golden Knights, how fun playoff hockey is, what he did well during the regular season, how important having fun is while playing hockey, and how he keeps a positive attitude going forward.
