Vikings tab Keenan McCardell as new WRs coach

The Minnesota Vikings hired former NFL wide receiver Keenan McCardell as their new wide receivers coach, following the promotion of Andrew Janocko to quarterbacks coach.

McCardell was with the Jacksonville Jaguars since 2017 prior to coming to the Vikings. He was the wide receivers coach for Washington from 2010-11. McCardell then went to the University of Maryland from 2014-15, where he coached former Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs for a season.

McCardell was a 12th-round draft pick by Washington in 1991 and went on to play 17 seasons in the NFL. McCardell finished his NFL playing career with 883 catches for 11,373 yards and 63 touchdowns.
